Recently, the SCC Peer Support Team partnered with the fine folks at #StellarCoffee for a fundraising event to support the Peer Support mission. Thanks to the generosity of the community, we were able to raise $897 for Peer Support! Today, Sami and her family from #StellarCoffee stopped by and presented a check to Dispatcher and Peer Support Team Member Chantell Bolton.

On June 19, 2025, Dispatcher Kaitlyn Girgen took a call for an 87-year-old female who was unresponsive and not breathing. Kaitlyn was able to initiate CPR within 1 minute and 13 seconds of answering the call and less than 2 minutes later the patient regained a pulse and began breathing. By the time other first responders arrived, the patient was able to communicate with paramedics. Thanks to Dispatcher Girgen's fast action, calm demeanor and command of the situation, the patient was able to make a full recovery and was eventually discharged from the hospital.

Kenzee had a CPR save on 10/11/24 she had a male that was found not conscious not breathing and was also a cancer patient. Kenzee had CPR initiated 1 Minute and 17 seconds into the call. Just like with any call Kenzee has; she remained calm and caring.

Congratulations to Tasha Urbatsch for 20yrs of service to Sweetwater County Dispatch! She held many different positions during her time with us from Shift supervisor to FTO. She will be missed by her coworkers and crew members. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors!
