On September 26, 2025, Supervisor Buller received a call from a pregnant patient in active labor.  With EMS not yet on scene, Jen utilized her training and experience and assisted the mother in giving birth to a baby girl.  The mother and her newborn were soon safely transported to the hospital for continued care.

The skills and guidance provided by Jen that night delivered calmness to chaos and again exemplified what being a 911 headset hero is all about.  Not only that, but Jen's pre-hospital delivery was the first ever in our agency's history!

Today, in recognition of the phenomenal role she played in the delivery of a new human life, Supervisor Buller was presented with the first ever SCCC Pre-Hospital Delivery Stork Award by Executive Director Nick Erskine.

Congratulations, Jen!  You are a true leader, a consummate professional, and incredibly deserving to be the very FIRST Stork Award recipient!
