Hey! Did you know that if an old cell phone has a charge and a signal, it can call 9-1-1?
This allows all phones to call 9-1-1 in an emergency. However, it also allows young children to dial 9-1-1 when there is not an emergency. For this reason we urge the public not to give old cell phones to children as toys unless the battery has been removed or they understand the use of 9-1-1.
